Professional Instruments Company was established in 1947 by Harold and Ted Arneson.  They became known in the precision engineering world in 1960 with their groundbreaking work for Honeywell, in fabricating hollow spherical gyroscope rotors for submarine navigation.  To meet Honeywell's specifications, PICo needed an accurate spindle. The rest, as they say, is history.

We now manufacture a range of air bearing spindles with accuracies in the single digit nanometers, and utilize our own bearings in our machining processes.

Over the years customers have approached us to solve and provide their accuracy needs. Our industries served encompasses aerospace, imaging, optics, computing, automotive, and many others.
